8 c. water 1 c. vinegar 3/4 c. coarse salt Bring brine to boil. Put a slice of white bread in bottom of gallon glass jug. Pack cucumbers in layers with dill. Five or six cloves of garlic. Put grape leaves on top and another slice of bread. Pour hot brine over top. Set in sun with a piece of foil under and another over top. Ready in 3 days. |
