VIOLET MOSS'S LAYERED LETTUCE
SALAD
 
1 head lettuce, broken into bite size pieces
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. cauliflower, small flowerets
1 sm. pkg. frozen peas
8 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 lb. bacon, fried crisp and broken into pieces
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. sugar

Cook bacon (on stove or microwave) crumble. Layer small flat dish alternately with the above ingredients. Reserve cheese and sugar. Sprinkle sugar on top and cover with cheese. Refrigerate until served. Serves 6-8.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
