ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water
Cornmeal (opt.)
2 c. milk

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda. Heat liquids until very warm (120 to 130 degrees). Add to dry mixture, beat well. Stir in rest of the flour to make a stiff batter. Spoon into 2 (8 1/4 x 4 1/2 inch) pans that have been greased and sprinkle with cornmeal. Cover, let rise in warm place for 45 minutes. Sprinkle tops with cornmeal. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove form pans immediately and cool.

MICROWAVE: Reduce flour to 3 cups in 1st step, 2 cups in 2nd step. Mix and let rise as directed above. Allow to rest 5 minutes before removing from pans.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
