WHISKEY CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 shots of whiskey
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. walnut halves
1 (10 oz.) jar red cherries

Cream the butter and the sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg. Now add whiskey, vanilla, and flour; blend well. Coat cherries with flour and add cherries and nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Let stand for 30-40 minutes until cool.
