NEW YORK CHEESE CAKE
CRUST:

1 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter

Melt butter in 2 quart oblong baking dish. Mix sugar and graham cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over butter. 5 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Soften cream cheese by putting in microwave or setting out. After cheese is soft, let run in electric mixer. Add whole eggs, one at a time, then add sugar and vanilla. Pour batter over crust slowly. Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 1 hour. After cake cools, spread on topping.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 pt. sour cream
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Spread on top of cake gently; bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for 8 minutes. When cool, spread on top of this your favorite pie filling, if desired. Refrigerate. Best made a day ahead of time. The longer it sets the better it tastes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
