1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 tbsp. cream or whole milk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and sugar. Add lightly beaten eggs, cream, and vanilla. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Use a little flour and roll the dough thin. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes or until light brown. These cookies are very tasty.
