DATE NUT BREAD 
2 c. w.w. pastry flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. sea salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. oil
1/3 c. honey
2/3 c. water
1 c. finely chopped dates

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add nuts and orange rind and mix again. In another bowl mix egg, oil, honey and water thoroughly, add dates and mix again. Add this to dry ingredients and mix to an even consistency.

Place batter in an oiled 9 x 5 inch bread pan and cut a slash lengthwise down the center of the batter. Bake for about 45 minutes. Cool before slicing. Good for dessert or as a snack, as is or with cheese, peanut butter, etc.
