MAPLE MELTAWAYS 
2 c. flour
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. maple flavored extract
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. pecan halves

Measure flour, butter, sugar, extract and salt into large bowl. With mixer at low speed beat until blended, occasionally scraping bowl. Increase speed to medium and beat until light and fluffy. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop by rounded teaspoon about 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Gently press a pecan half into top of each cookie. Bake 12 minutes.
