BLONDE BROWNIES 
2/3 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
6 oz. chocolate chips (or more)
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts (opt.)

In medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat; stir in brown sugar, beat until blended. Stir in eggs that have been beaten with vanilla. Stir flour, baking soda and salt to blend; add to other ingredients; thoroughly blend, mixture will be very thick. Spread batter in greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Nuts can be sprinkled on top (or if desired, mixed into batter before pouring into pan). More chocolate chips can be sprinkled on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, until tested done.
