REFRIGERATOR COLE SLAW | |
2 medium heads cabbage 1 large red onion 7/8 c. sugar 3/4 c. salad oil 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. celery seed Shred cabbage and onion. Put salad oil, vinegar, sugar, mustard and celery seed in small saucepan; bring to boil to dissolve the sugar. While hot, pour mixture over the cabbage. DO NOT STIR for 24 hours. Place in the refrigerator when cool. After 24 hours, stir and keep refrigerated. Will keep for weeks. |
