COLD OVEN POUND CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. Crisco (no substitute)
3 c. sugar
3 c. Swans Down cake flour (no substitute)
1 c. milk
5 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice

Cream butter and Crisco, add sugar and eggs, beat well. Add milk and flour and flavoring and beat about 10 minutes with mixer. Pour in tube pan, greased and floured. Set in cold oven, turn temperature to 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Do not open oven for 1 hour. Test for doneness.
