2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 c. pecans
1 pkg. dates
2 tbsp. orange rind
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients and pour into a tube pan.

Bake one hour at 350°F. Pour glaze over cake while cake is still hot.

Glaze:

1 1/3 c. orange juice
1 tbsp. orange rind
2 c. sugar

Mix all ingredients and heat.
