DINNER PARTY STEW 
1 lb. lean beef chuck, cut in strips
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt, dash of pepper
3 med. onions, sliced
3 tbsp. fat or oil
1/2 c. tomato juice
1 3/4 c. meat stock or 1 3/4 c. hot water and 3 bouillon cubes
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 sm. can mushrooms

Roll beef in flour mixed with salt and pepper. Brown meat and onions in hot fat 10 to 15 minutes. Add tomato juice, meat stock and sugar. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Blend in sour cream and mushrooms. Serve in rice ring, noodle ring, or use pastry bag to make mashed potato ring. Serves 4.
