FAVORITE FRUIT CAKE 
1 lb. walnuts, broken
1 lb. Brazil nuts, whole
1 lb. dates, cut up
6 oz. maraschino cherries, drained
1/2 c. flour to coat fruit and nuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs

Put nuts, dates and cherries in a bowl. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup flour over the mixture to coat. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Beat the eggs and stir into the dry ingredients. Add nuts and fruit - mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured bread pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
