COCOA DROP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter (not light)
1 egg
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. walnuts or raisins
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. cocoa

Mix thoroughly butter and sugar and egg. Stir in vanilla and buttermilk or sour milk. Blend in rest of ingredients. Batter will be a moist batter. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do not over bake. Will feel very soft until after they cool.
