LEMON POUND CAKE | |
2 3/4 c. sifted plain or cake flour 3 sticks butter 5 eggs 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 lemon, grated (rind and juice) Cream butter. Add sugar. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Beat very slow with mixer. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and rind to batter. Grease and flour bundt pan and pour batter in evenly. Bake 325 degrees for 1 hour. GLAZE: 2 c. confectioners' sugar 1 tbsp. lemon juice and rind Combine sugar, lemon juice and rind and pour over hot cake. |
