MARBLE CAKE | |
3 1/2 c. sifted cake flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. butter 1 tsp. almond extract 4 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 c. milk 1/4 c. cocoa 3 tsp. rum Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter with almond extract and 1 1/2 cups of sugar; cream until fluffy. Add eggs, milk and flour to creamed mixture alternately. Halve the batter. Mix cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar and rum with half of the batter. Alternately pour dark and light batter into 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Let cool for 10 minutes in pan. Can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. |
