PECAN TURTLES 
1 bag caramels (no dark chocolate caramels)
1 tbsp. half and half cream
Chopped pecans (or walnuts, if desired)
8 oz. Hershey Chocolate bar
1 tbsp. Crisco shortening

Melt caramels and half and half together over low heat; add chopped nuts (as many as desired). Drop onto a greased cookie sheet by small teaspoon ful. Let cool. Melt chocolate bar and Crisco in double boiler. Stir often. Spoon melted chocolate mixture over caramels. Makes about 3 dozen.
