CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BRITTLE 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Combine butter (softened), vanilla and salt in bowl. Mix with whisk or spoon and blend well. Gradually beat in sugar. Then add flour. Dough will be very stiff. Then add 3/4 cup nuts and chocolate chips. Mix with wooden spoon and hands.

Press into 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan and then press rest of walnuts into top. Bake for 25 minutes (less if it browns sooner). Cool and break into chunks. Freezes well.
