IRISH SODA BREAD 
4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. butter
2 c. raisins
1 1/3 c. buttermilk or 2 tbsp. vinegar and whole milk
1 egg

Mix and sift flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Cut in butter. Add milk and egg. Knead until looks like coarse cornmeal. Stir in raisins.

Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
