HOMEMADE BISCUITS 
2 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk

Heat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl add flour, cut shortening into flour with fork or hands. Add milk, stir until mixture leaves side of bowl and forms a soft moist dough. Can add a little milk if needed. Turn onto floured surface, gently knead 10 times or longer until no longer sticky. Can add more flour if needed. Then roll out and cut or just pinch off and shape. Place in greased pan. Bake until golden brown.
