TOLL HOUSE CAKE 
1 stick butter
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. halved candied cherries

Combine butter, eggs and sugar; beat well. Add fruits, nuts and chocolate chips to flour mixture, being sure the fruit is well covered with the flour (each piece). Fold into egg mixture (using your hands to mix). Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees. Serve like fruit cake. Recipe is easy to double.
