VANILLA PIE FILLING | |
3 c. scalded milk 1/2 c. cornstarch 1 1/3 c. sugar Pinch of salt 1 tsp. vanilla 3 egg yolks 1 c. cold milk Mix cornstarch, sugar, egg, salt, vanilla and cold milk. Pour in scalded milk. Stir constantly over medium heat until thicken. Remove and cool. Then pour into a baked pie shell. Serve with whipped topping on top. For Coconut Pie: Add 3/4 cup coconut to pudding mix. For Raisin Pie: Add 3/4 cup raisin to pudding mix. For Banana Pie: Add 1 banana to pudding mix. For Peanut Butter: Mix 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/3 cup peanut butter together to make crumbs. Line pie crust with crumbs. Then place pudding next. Top with whipping cream and sprinkle with more crumbs. |
