SUGAR BUTTER COOKIES 
1 lb. soft butter
4 c. flour
1 tsp. lemon
1 c. sugar (1/2 granulated, 1/2 powdered)
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar, add flavoring and flour. Cream well. Dip with small ice cream dipper or a teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet and press with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until brown and crisp. These brown quickly so they need to be watched closely.
