STUFFED PEPPERS 
About 6 green peppers
1 lb. sausage meat
1 tbsp. rice soaked in hot water
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped fine
1 egg
3 tbsp. Crisco
About 2 tbsp. flour
1 or 2 tsp. sugar
1 can tomato juice
1 can water

Mix meat, rice, garlic, onion, egg and seasonings. Stuff peppers with mixture. Melt Crisco, add flour and brown. Add tomato juice, sugar and one can water. Cook about 10 minutes. Add peppers. Cook slowly for about one hour.
