CHOCOLATE TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix (any kind)
1 pkg. caramels (14 oz.)
3/4 c. butter
1/2 can evaporated milk
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
1 can coconut

Optional.

Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour 1/2 the batter in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt caramels over low heat. Add milk and butter. Spread over the cake that has been baking. At this point sprinkle optional ingredients if desired.

Then pour remaining cake batter over cake and continue to bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. May or may not be iced with following recipe.
