4 1/2 c. sugar
1 lg. can Carnation
18 oz. chocolate or peanut butter chips
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil together sugar and Carnation for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate or peanut butter chips, butter, nuts and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into buttered pan. Cool and cut into squares.
