OLD FASHIONED TAFFY | |
3 lb. granulated sugar 1 1/2 lbs. white corn syrup 1 egg 1 pt. whipping cream 1 pt. milk 1/2 oz. paraffin 1 1/2 oz. Knox gelatin (6 sm. env. or 1 1/2 boxes) 2 c. finely chopped English walnuts 1 tbsp. vanilla Stir the dry sugar and gelatin together and mix thoroughly. Add cream, milk, egg, corn syrup and paraffin. Make sure that it is well blended. Cook to 250 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. |
