PESTO ALLA GENOVESE 
1 c. sweet fresh basil leaves
1 parsley sprig
2 garlic cloves
1 1/2 tbsp. pine nuts
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
1 c. (scant) olive oil

Put sweet basil, parsley, garlic cloves, and pine nuts into food processor. Blend. Add cheese and blend. Add enough of the olive oil to make a dense, amalgamated sauce. If desired add salt to taste. Serves 4.
