DATE-NUT FONDANT 
2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. dates, chopped

Combine milk and vanilla. Gradually add sugar; mix until creamy. Add nuts and dates. Press into an 8 x 8 x 2 inch square pan. Chill until firm. Cut into 1 inch squares. Yield: 16 squares.
