CHOCOLATE OATMEAL SQUARES 
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
dash of salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Fold in chips. Pat into 13x9-inch pan and bake about 25 minutes at 350°F.
