PITALES 
1 loaf frozen unbaked bread dough
Oil for deep frying
Sugar
Sliced American cheese (optional)

Let dough thaw and raise. Pull pieces of dough from the loaf slightly larger than a golf ball. Flatten and stretch the dough pieces. Allow to raise again for 15 minutes. Drop the stretched dough into hot oil. Fry on each side until lightly brown. Drain each piece and roll in sugar. Or: place a slice of American cheese, 1 inch square, on the flattened dough and fold in half. Pinch ends to seal the dough pocket. Fry as instructed above and drain.
