TEXAS MIDNIGHT PIE 
CRUST:

2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix well. This is the crust. Cook until brown at 325 degrees. Let crust cool completely.

12 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 pts. whipping cream, whipped
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding

Mix cream cheese, 1/2 of whipping cream and the powdered sugar together. Spread over cooled crust. Mix the package of instant vanilla pudding according to directions on box. Pour over above mixture. Mix chocolate pudding and pour over vanilla pudding. Chill. Then add the remaining half of whipping cream before serving. Garnish with shaved chocolate if desired. This recipe makes 2 (9 inch) pies or 1 rectangular 15 x 9 inch dish.
