TURKEY AND DRESSING | |
Corn bread Loaf bread, 3 slices Celery Onions Eggs Salt and pepper Butter Turkey Stock In large mixing bowl break up bread in small pieces. Add water to moisten. Let stand while cutting up onions and celery to brown. Add onions and celery. Add 1 or 2 eggs as desired. Add turkey stock, add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well (with hands). If still dry add a little hot water this will not alter the taste if you have plenty of turkey stock. After mixing well, place in greased pan to be baked, put small slices of butter over top. This will melt and cook into dressing. Cook just like you would corn bread. Cook turkey at 350 degrees for 20 minutes to the pound. |
