4 to 6 thinly sliced round steak (depending on family size) Pickles Onions Bacon Mustard (optional) Salt and pepper Flour Arrange finely sliced or chopped onions, pickles and bacon on meat after salt and pepper was rubbed on. Roll it up and hold together with white thread or toothpicks so the filling is hot coming out. Roll in flour in skillet, heat up the fat, brown meat on all sides. Add more onions, if needed. Add HOT water with a bouillon cube; cook in gravy until done (350 degrees). For better taste, spread mustard on meat before you add all ingredients. Use gravy mix from a package and season your gravy to taste. Serve with red cabbage, mashed potatoes, or rice. Also good with noodles. |
