EASY PEPPER STEAK | |
1 lb. top of the round beef, sliced in thin strips 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper, sliced 1 can brown gravy 1 sm. can stewed tomatoes 1 sm. can sliced mushrooms (optional) Saute chopped onion and pepper slices in frying pan with a little oil or butter until soft. Take out of pan and put in dish. Add top of round to frying pan. Season with pepper, parsley, garlic powder and Italian seasonings (or any seasonings to your taste). Cover pan and cook meat until lightly browned. Add onion and peppers to pan. Add brown gravy and stewed tomatoes. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour. If you use mushrooms, add last 10 minutes. Serve over rice. |
