BLACKBERRY DUMPLINGS 
1 qt. fresh blackberries
Sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. water

Wash and cook blackberries with water and sugar added to reach desired sweetness. Cook until berries are done. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water and add to berries. Cook about 3 to 5 minutes.

DUMPLINGS:

1 1/2 c. biscuit mix
1/2 c. flour
1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
Water

Mix ingredients together in a bowl, adding as little water as possible to blend. Dough must be thick. Drop into hot berries by table-spoonful. Cook on low heat turning dumplings over in sauce. Cook until dumplings are done.
