GROUND BEEF IN GRAVY 
1 lb. ground beef
3 tbsp. butter or drippings
1 tbsp. grated onion
2 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles, cooked until ala dente
1 can gravy; optional

Cook meat and onion slowly until browned. Add water and seasonings and simmer covered for 30 minutes. Thicken liquid with a flour and water paste. Add cooked egg noodles and gravy for a richer flour.
