DATE KRUMBLES 
1 pkg. dates
1 c. sugar
1 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. + 1 tbsp. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/8 tsp. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. butter, melted

Combine dates, sugar, water and 1 tablespoon flour and cook until thick. Crumble together a mixture of brown sugar, remaining flour, soda and vanilla, and add butter last. Spread half of this in 9"x13"x2" greased pan, spread with filling, then add remaining crumb mix. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
