CINNAMON CANDY 
2 c. granulated sugar
2/3 c. white corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon oil
3 drops red food coloring

Mix sugar, syrup and water together in large heavy pan. Cook until it reaches hard crack stage. Remove from heat and add cinnamon oil and food coloring. Pour into buttered pan until candy hardens. Break into pieces and coat with powdered sugar.

Variation: Wintergreen oil and green food coloring, or peppermint oil.
