GOBS 
Cookie:

1/2 c. melted shortening
1 c. sugar
3 squares melted chocolate
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix sugar and shortening, add melted chocolate and eggs. Add alternating milk and flour (sifted), with baking soda baking powder and salt. Drop by teaspoon on oiled baking sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

Filling:

4 tbsp. flour (heaping)
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. sugar

Cook flour and milk until thick. Cool. Cream together butter and shortening, add the cooled flour-milk mixture (which will look like library paste) to the creamed sugar and shortening. Beat thoroughly with mixer until it is creamy. Spread between two cookies.

Makes 24 cookies.
