ACORN SQUASH 
2 acorn squash
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. brown sugar
Water

Cut each squash in half, lengthwise, and scoop out seeds with spoon and discard. Place cut end down in baking dish and add approximately one inch of water. Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour. Turn one squash over and fork test for doneness.

Meat will be soft when done. Turn balance of squash over and to each half; add 1 tablespoon butter and brown sugar and return to oven to melt butter. If squashes are really big, add equal amounts more of butter and brown sugar. Recipe is easily cut in half or doubled depending on the amount required. Serves 4.
