NEVER FAIL CHOCOLATE FUDGE 
4 c. granulated sugar
8 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. evaporated milk
2/3 c. white corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
2 c. chopped nuts

Combine sugar and cocoa; mix syrup and milk and pour gradually into sugar-cocoa mixture. Add salt and butter. Place on medium heat and bring to rapid boil. As soon as mixture begins to boil, time for 6 minutes or until candy reaches soft ball stage. Remove from fire and add vanilla. Using high speed on mixer, beat for 10 minutes and then pour in nuts. Pour on buttered platter or pan. Cut into squares when firm.
