ITALIAN CREAM CHEESE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. flour
5 egg whites
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1 c. coconut

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add egg yolks, flour, soda alternately with buttermilk and vanilla. Add pecans and coconut. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in 3 layers in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

ICING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar

Mix until smooth and put on each layer and around sides.
