1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients. Add chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, dates, etc. to suit self. Drop on cookie sheets or spread in cookie sheet for bars. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
