CREOLE SAUCE | |
1/4 c. canola oil 1 c. chopped green pepper 1 c. chopped onions 1/2 c. chopped green onions 1 c. chopped celery 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. sugar 2 bay leaves 1/4 tsp. cloves 1/2 c. chopped parsley 1 tsp. Tabasco 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. thyme 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 c. sherry Cook pepper, garlic, onion and celery in oil until translucent and tender. Add rest of ingredients and cook 30-40 minutes over medium heat. |
