1/2 c. sugar 1 c. milk (sour) 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 2 tbsp. oil 1/2 tsp. lemon extract (opt.) Beat eggs; add sugar, milk in which soda has been dissolved., the oil and lemon extract. Stir in enough flour to make soft batter. Drop in hot fat by teaspoon. They will form their own shapes. They roll over while browning. When done, remove, drain on paper towel. May be dusted with powdered sugar mixed with a little cinnamon. Never take up grease and are very quick to make, tasty too. |
