MUSHROOM CASSEROLE 
1 1/4 lbs. mushrooms (saute in 1/4 lb. of butter)
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. green pepper
1/2 c. Miracle Whip

Add all ingredients and mix. Then butter and cube three slices of sour-dough French bread (large slices). Put 1/2 mushroom mixture on top, add three more slices of buttered and cubed bread, and rest of mushroom mixture. Beat: 1 1/2 c. milk 3/4 tsp. salt

Mix together and pour over mushroom and bread mixture. Add 2 cans golden mushroom soup; just pour on top. Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. During last 10 minutes, add grated Cheddar cheese (approximately 1 pound) and finish baking. You can also cook this casserole in the crock pot for 6 to 8 hours. It is very good warmed up the next day, too. Serves 6 to 8 people.
