BUSY - DAY PEACH COBBLER 
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening or vegetable oil
1 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. butter

Melt the butter in baking pan or dish. Cook peaches in small amount of water with sugar and spice to taste (or used canned peaches with juice). Mix the other ingredients. Pour batter into baking pan or dish. Put the peaches and juice over the top. Bake in a 400 degree oven until brown on top.
