PICKLED OKRA 
4 lb. sm. tender okra
10 pods red or green hot pepper
10 cloves garlic
8 c. apple cider vinegar
3/4 c. plain salt
1 c. water

Wash okra. Be sure pods are small with short stems. Pack in hot, clean jars. Put 1 pepper pod and 1 clove garlic on each jar. Heat vinegar, salt and water to boiling. Pour mixture over okra and seal. Allow okra to set for about 8 weeks before eating. Makes 10 pints.
